Checking AD replication
Every DC needs to replicate its databases with other DCs. After joining an AD, reboot the other DCs too to re-establish replication. After 20 minutes or so, you can check replication with this tool. The only thing you should *really* care about is whether changes are being replicated in a timely fashion, and to quickly check that, see if:
samba-tool visualize uptodateness -rS --utf8
shows you a lot of green zeros, or some very big numbers in other colours.
Another tool for checking replication is:
samba-tool drs showrepl
Also, you may want to check and fix databases for orphaned entries. Do this on one DC — it will be replicated to the others:
samba-tool dbcheck --cross-ncs --fix --yes
