Every DC needs to replicate it's databases with other DCs. After joining an AD, reboot other DCs too to re-stablish replication. After 20 minutes or so, you can check replication with this tool. The only thing you should *really* care about is whether changes are getting replicated about in a timely fashion, and to quickly check that, see if:

samba-tool visualize uptodateness -rS --utf8

shows you a lot of green zeros, or some very big numbers in other colours. Other tool for checking replication is:

samba-tool drs showrepl

Also, you may want to check and fix databases for orphaned entries in all DCs with:

samba-tool dbcheck --cross-ncs --fix --yes
